Day 16 - A song I used to love

When this song first came out I loved it, and then it was over played to the max and now I listen to it maybe once a year.

Day 15 - A song that describes me

This was the first one I could think of, and it does a decent job at describing me I think....
anyway this is Monday's song even though I'm posting this past midnight.

Day 14 - A song no one would expect me to love

I'm not really sure about a song that no one would expect me to love, but this is an awesome song, although a bit repetitive.

Day 13 - A guilty pleasure song

So, I know that a lot of my friends think I'm crazy, but I love Miley and this song especially and it truly is one of my guilty pleasures. And watching the husband dance to this song is hilarious!

Day 12 - A song from a band I hate

To be completely honest I don't really hate Avenged Sevenfold, but they aren't exactly a band I love. But I do love this song by them, I hope you like it too.

Day 11 - A song from my favorite band

This is my warning to you about this song: This is probably one of Rise Against's milder songs, so even if you like this song you might not like their other songs... However, if you do check them out I also really like their song Dancing For Rain.

Day 10 - A song I can fall asleep to

This is by far my most favorite piano piece of all time. It's beautiful and relaxing and when I'm having troubles falling asleep this is what I listen to.

Day 8 - A song I know all the words to.

My three year old niece also knows all the words to this song. We like to sing it together sometimes.

Day 7 - A song that reminds me of a certain event

This song reminds me of all the dances I went to before I got married because this song was played at all of them.

"God is a God of Miracles"

A few weeks ago I had heard that yet another adoption had fallen through for mine and the husband's good friends, Holly and Nate. I was broken hearted to hear this news, and angry for them because they deserve to be parents.
Today that dream and desire came true for them. They are the proud parents of a little baby boy named Miles Elijah. My heart is filled with joy to know that they will get to raise a righteous child in this world.

I think of Holly quite often and have had a prayer for her in my heart for quite some time now, as I'm sure many others have as well. This quote pretty much sums Holly up, I couldn't say it better myself:
"[LDS] women are not incredible because they have managed to avoid the difficulties of life—quite the opposite. They are incredible because of the way they face the trials of life. Despite the challenges and tests life has to offer...they remain remarkably strong and immovable and true to the faith. Our sisters throughout the Church consistently “succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees." -Quinten L. Cook, April 2011, General Conference

Ty and I are so happy for you. I can't think of anyone who deserves this more than you and Nate. Congratulations to the three of you. Miles is one lucky kid to have you for a mom.
Love, Jessie

Day 6 - A song that reminds you of somewhere

This song reminds me of my high school, which happened to be a very hard and painful time in my life(bet you didn't know that). I think I did a pretty good job of hiding what I was really going through, well at least until my senior year of high school...then it seemed that my business became the whole school's business. Anyway, that is all in the past and this is the song that reminds me about it.

Day 5 - A Song That Reminds Me of Someone

So, today's post is for the husband. This song reminds me of him because he thinks it's cute when I sing this song. So every time I hear it I think of him and I sing it as if he were there(and most of the time he is). This is a really cool performance of it, I tried to post the music video, but for some reason it has been disabled to share it so if you get the chance go check out the music video on YouTube. It's a really cool one.

Day 4 - A Song That Makes Me Sad

So, I had to change my original choice because honestly, this song makes me feel way more sad than any other song out there. Enjoy.

Day 3 - A Song That Makes Me Happy

This is possibly one of my favorite songs, and I can't help but feel happy when I hear this song.

Day 2 - Least Favorite Song

I don't care for the movie, and this song is really sappy. It just isn't my taste.

Tyler and I are really bad at blogging

I just realized that no one really knows how the Whittakers are doing. Sometime's I feel like I don't even know how we're doing. Well, where can I start?
Ty started his new job about a month ago, he sprays lawns. You know, to kill the weeds and stuff. He seems to really like it, although he comes home really smelly everyday. I think it's good for him, being in the sunshine. He definitely seems happier for the most part. The hardest part about this job is he can't go to work when it's rainy or snowy, and Logan hasn't figured out that it's May yet. This week has been good though, Monday was the only rainy day.
About 3 weeks ago(ish), I was in the hospital with Mesenteric Adenitis. Fun stuff, all sorts of pain, and nothing the doctors could do to make it go away quickly because it was caused by a virus. So they just gave me some Vicodin, and sent me on my way instructing me that if the pain worsens to come back. Luckily the pain did not get worse and I just vegged on the couch for 5 days until I could stand walking again. Probably the worst time of year for this to happen, considering it was the end of the semester and almost finals week. But I made it through my finals and passed all my classes (thankfully).
A big part of me thinks that getting sick was due to stress, and Tyler agrees. But there is an end in sight. Only 3 semesters left in Logan, and then on to bigger and better things.
We still have yet to decide if we are going to try to both do grad school at the same time, or if Tyler is just going to do grad school and I'll work. I really want to go to grad school, but we will see what happens. Ty is a good man waiting for me to finish my undergrad, and I definitely couldn't do it with out him.
