Countdown :)

11 days!!!

Yesterday Tyler received the Melchizedek Priesthood. Yay! On July 27th we will both go through the temple for the first time and on July 30th we will be married for time and all eternity!

I have noticed...

-I tell myself that I'm going to post a new post everyday and I get plenty of ideas for different things to talk about on my blog...I just get lazy and then nothing gets posted. Life is really good right now. My baby brother is now 3 weeks old and he is still as cute as ever! 11 days until I get married. 22 days until Tyler and I move back to Logan. 29 days until drumline starts at USU. 34 days until Band Camp starts at USU. 41 days until classes start at USU. Life is good.
-I recently watched Avatar and was actually quite impressed with it. I wasn't really sure I wanted to see it after some of the things that have been said about that movie, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. It reminded me that history very often repeats itself. The sun always will set on a good day, no matter how hard we try to keep it around.
-My mom is a super woman! I am so impressed with her courage and determination, especially during this recent pregnancy and now with Jonathan being here. She is so amazing and she is a great mom! She has been up and moving practically after one week of resting and this has been her 8th child and 5th c-section. Someday I hope to be as tough as my mom.
-I need to finish reading all of the books I have started.
-I love to nap while holding a napping Jonathan. Some of the best rest I have gotten the past couple of weeks has been while holding my baby brother.
-Yesterday in church one of the speakers spoke about repentance and now I have a very different perspective on my life. I used to think of repentance only being necessary for the really big things, but now I also see how I can apply it to helping make myself a better person every day by improving on my weaknesses.

22 Days

I'm so excited to get married and start a wonderful new chapter of my life, but I am so done with all the planning. I don't like any planning at all. It gives me a headache. And there isn't enough money to have what I really would love to have and so I just keep my mouth shut and smile. I'm getting really good at that. 22 days and I won't have to worry about last minute plans for the wedding anymore. Yay!
Tyler has been such a good sport through all of this. He helps as much as possible and he does a good job of it. I am so blessed to have him be my future husband. He is such an amazing guy! If you don't know him, you should get to know him because he will make your life better somehow.
I love him forever and always.

I love this word. I love saying it. I love reading it. I love the movie. I love pretty much everything about it. The definition, discovering good fortune on accident, seems so romantic. But do we really discover good luck or good fortune by ourselves even if it's on accident? The older I get, the more I think that nothing really happens on accident, at least in the eternal scheme of things.

On this my day of birth...

Twenty years ago a woman left work slightly before noon to have her appointment with her dedicated midwives. 1 hour and 42 minutes after that appointment I came into the world two weeks early. I don't really have any specific plans for today. I think I'll just go with the flow. Presents are welcome :)
